New Sandra Interview

05 March 2010
Beauty Holding: Hi Sandra, how do you feel after having spent a year with Beauty Holding?

Sandra: I feel really sure and confident about myself, having experienced so many different things in different countries. I have met a lot of people not only in the modeling industry but also, along the way, I have made a lot of friends. All in all, I have seen and felt as many things this year as I could possibly think of!

BH: Your favourite memories from the Golden Beauty experience?

While in London, I loved the Golden Beauty dinner and then clubbing with my Sponsor Kristian, the Beauty Holding Team and my friend of mine Sharon! We had a lot of fun and a wonderful time that day! My favourite memory from the NYC was the whole time in that city! It's so full of energy ... I would love to go back there as soon as possible! An image is still stuck in my head from when I was with my friend on the Brooklyn Bridge, the whole view from Manhattan to Brooklyn was so wonderful on that Sunday afternoon!
In Milan, I had so much fun everyday with my friends! I spent almost 4 months there, making quite a lot of friends. Casting-to-dinner-to-party was my usual schedule :) And the weather was amazing!

Also, my American friend Adrian and me had a perfect plan - taking the night-train to Rome for a week-end ...

The ride was horrible but funny ... It was like 8 hours on a train full of people and noise. But when we arrived in Rome, our bad feelings started dissipating instantly, and the whole experience felt amazing!

BH: Your favourite place visited in the last year?

S: Milan was my favourite place. The city is 'ok' rather than beautiful. But I love it in that I met so many warm and nice people and made so many friends with whom I still keep in touch to this day.

BH: Your favourite Beauty Holding portfolio shoot?

S: In New York, I had a shoot on the streets of the city with a cuban photographer. He was so funny! We got lucky with the weather, and the results of the shooting were so cool! I think we truly hit the vibe of Manhattan, going on a photo-trip from Central Park to Times Square and then Downtown

BH: You favourite assignment?

S: My favourite job was the Atelier Aimee job in Milan. It was for the wedding-dress fashion show there. I looked like a bride princess there :) This was a tough job though as I had to both walk on the podium for them and also shoot for the look-book of their new collection.

During the whole day, I tried on almost 40 wedding dresses ... The designer was there herself, and it was extremely nice to meet her and talk to her. The make-up and hair team were so professional, making me feel in my element! By far the best modeling job last year!

BH: What do you think about your earnings results? Do you think you could have earned more?

S: True that my earnings were rather low, but I think that if it was not for the recession, they would have been much better. The timing of my travel to New york and London was very unfortunate too, as so many modeling agencies were going bankrupt at the time, and the market was literally frozen! Proper jobs are still very rare in the sector even today, but the trend seems to be going upward right now.

BH: What are you plans right now and for the next year?

S: I have re-started my studies, and I am in the 3 year right now. I hope to graduate next year. Following the graduation, I want to go to LA to see my friend Adrian whom I met while working for Beauty Holding in Milan. I will try to look for work in the film industry. I also have plans to start my own company in Holland, which can hopefully grow bigger. With my experience from the last year and my diploma on hand, I really believe I can make this happen! True, being a Golden Beauty was a bit like a dream, and I could allow myself to be more careless. But that experience is now over, and I have to make new plans - welcome back to real life!

BH: What are your wishes or suggestions for the Beauty Holding Team for the future in regard to managing the sponsorship fund and the model promotion?

S: I think you should continue with this amazing idea, which brings such an exceptional professional and personal value to aspiring or even working Models such as myself. In the model promotion field, you should continue looking for new partners not only in modeling agencies but also in smaller clients - such as the media or internet companies - who can understand the value of Beauty Holding Models much better than the 'traditional' clients ... Focusing on smaller jobs for Golden Beauties, such as hostessing, may also bring some revenue for everybody!

BH: Your suggestions to Nastya and the next Golden Beauties?

S: Be yourself, stay with two feet on the ground, and trust your own intuition!
And, of course, enjoy this great adventure 100%!

BH: What is your message to your Sponsors?

S: Thank you for everything! Without you, I could not have experienced this adventure. You can take my word for it that I lived this 100% enjoyed it a lot!

BH: Thanks a lot, Sandra. We have been privileged in promoting such a beautiful and good person as you. We have nothing but admiration for your professionalism as a Model, and your kindness and simplicity as a person. We wish you all the best in whatever endeavours you are about to undertake!
