Beauty Holding: How did you find out about beautyholding.com and what was your first reaction?
Rurik: I heard about it in a daily email I receive called Urban Daddy (www.urbandaddy.com). It updates its recipients with new nightlife, restaurant and other assorted men's interest items in the New York area. Initially I thought the idea of Beauty Holding was a smart one, but I didn't participate immediately.
BH: Did you become a Sponsor to make money, help a Model, or for other reasons?
R: I started as a Sponsor just for fun with very small amounts of money. I wanted to find a Model or two that I thought had a good chance of making it and see if my hunch was right.

BH: What's your investment strategy? Why did you decide to invest in Irene422, Anastaisha, Lida?
R: After putting more money into this, I did a little research about what Models make and how difficult it is to be successful. I realized that, although the pay wasn't as high as I expected, a Sponsor could have a good degree of confidence that he/she would at least get the initial investment back if the Model was unique enough to attract interest from the fashion world. Of the models on the site that had some Sponsors already, I thought Irene422 was the one that had the best chance of getting to the 10K. I will definitely think about adding to her in the future as more interest builds for her. Anastaisha and Lida are the two new Models that I think have good chances of becoming more popular with other Sponsors eventually. |
BH: Do you look at other things apart from pictures when choosing your Models?
R: Yes, I try to determine if a Model has the focus and determination to be successful since being a Model is one of the most competitive professions out there.
BH: Would you consider investing in a male model?
R: Sure.
BH: Your definition of beauty?
R: To me beauty is both physical and spiritual. Regarding people, if they are attractive that is one thing, but if they are also unique and expressive in their personality and character then that makes a big impression on me.
BH: What's your main occupation?
R: I work in finance as a trader. I really like the competitiveness and constant challenge on a daily basis that it brings.

BH: Any other hobbies apart from investing in beautiful girls?
R: Traveling, music, poker, golf and being a beach bum.
BH: Do you prefer brunettes or blondes?
R: I probably give a slight edge to blondes but I don't have a huge preference.
